KABALE– The Police in Kabale district are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 26 year old man who was allegedly murdered.
The deceased has been identified as Ivan Sunday a resident of Ntungamo cell Kyinyamari parish, Butanda sub county in Kabale district.
Elly Maate, the kigezi region Police Spokesperson revealed that Police received information from a one Bangers Champion the Butanda sub county Chairperson that there was a mob in Ntungamo cell.
Information obtained by the Police has it that on Wednesday 15th September 2022 at around 9pm, the deceased picked up a quarrel with a resident only identified as Kemigisha at Busia while in the deceased’s bar.
It is alleged that on Thursday 16th September 2021 morning, the residents found Kemigisha lying helplessly in a pool of blood and they ascended on the Sunday and clobbered him to death on suspicion that he could have participated in cutting her.
Maate said that police officers from Kabale police station visited the scene getting exhibits used in killing, did postmortem and the body handed over to the parents for burial.
Maate stressed that inquiries have already been established to have the suspects arrested.
The case of murder was registered at kabale central police station under reference number CRB 787/2021.
