Police in Rukiga have kicked off investigations surrounding the death of a Nurse.
Elly Maate Kigezi region police spokesperson has identified the deceased as Naturinda Christine 24 years ,aNurse attached at Karorwa HCII,and a resident of Kagunga cell ,Putari Parish in Muhanga Town council in Rukiga District.
Maate confirmed the incident to journalists saying that it was reported by Rubarema Dezideria 48 years a teacher, by profession and a resident of Kagunga cell,Pirate Parish in Muhanga Town council in Rukiga District.
According to Police preliminary reports It’s alleged that on Tuesday18/07/2023 at around 9:00pm Naturinda Christine Nurse entered her one roomed house and just pushed the door back but she did not rock it and slept.
The report further says 0n Wednesday morning 19/07/2023 at around 11:00am, a female neighbor got concerned and tried to call her but she didn’t respond.At around 12;00pm another male neighbor also tried to call her but she could not respond consequently he pushed the door which was not locked and entered the room. after entering the room he found her lifeless body in her room and they called police for further management.
Oc Bukinda and Homicide team were dispatched to document the scene,Relevant statements obtained from the scene.The team documented the scene .
Maate adds that two bottles one of Rwenzori and another one for mountain dew soda were recovered in the room with smelly substances ,they have been submitted to the region for onward submission to GAL for analysis.
Body conveyed to Kabale referral Hospital for autopsy (postmortem)
Some internal organs (samples) have been extracted and submitted to the region for onward submission to GAL for analysis and establish the actual cause of death.
The body had no external injuries. Police say far no arrest has been made.
